Game fails during story mode in GTA V
You're experiencing a crash when trying to load Story Mode in GTA V. The system details show a mid-range processor, decent GPU, and sufficient RAM. Consider checking for updates, running a clean install, or ensuring no conflicting software is using resources.
It’s likely because your old CPU pairs with a very poor graphics card. I own the same GPU, but it performs poorly.
The game requires at least 8 GB of memory, but your processor won’t handle it properly.
System specs required include Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit SP1, Windows Vista 64 Bit SP2 (NVIDIA GPU advised for Vista), Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 cores) or AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core @ 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, a 1GB NVIDIA 9800 GT or AMD HD 4870, and a 65GB DVD drive.
Wow, really? I fully understand everything now. A NVIDIA representative confirmed this will perform better than ION Graphics when I first started the game. The recommended spec is at least 4GB RAM. Look at the image—it's actually running. Still, GT 730 outperforms 9800GT, and the CPU likely has a higher GHz than the minimum requirements for Intel or AMD. What I said before makes sense. Comparison? There.
Your device isn’t performing well, according to @DrMikeNZ. The RAM is only reaching its minimum capacity, and using DDR2 instead of DDR3 makes it even worse. I’d request a refund since the specifications aren’t up to standard.
GHz isn't always the main factor. It really comes down to other specifications. The suggested minimum CPU should be at least twice as fast as your current one.
