Hello everyone, I've encountered a rather bothersome issue while gaming. Everything seems normal on my system—Intel i7 6700k, good cooling, plenty of RAM, decent GPU performance, and low HDD usage. Still, my game freezes for just a few seconds after clicking the mouse to shoot. It usually happens right before a gunfight, but then the whole session halts, FPS drops to zero, and GPU usage plummets. Despite these signs, CPU usage stays within normal ranges (60-70%) and temperatures are stable. RAM usage never exceeds 13GB during gameplay. Even at 2560x1080 resolution, everything runs smoothly. I've tried reinstalling games and updating drivers, but nothing resolves the problem. My RAM tests came back clean too. Could be a software glitch or something in the game files? Thanks for your help!

Do you have any overclocked parts in your setup? Could the temperature be rising? It seems unlikely that components are limiting performance due to heat. Your AIO appears functional, so it’s probably not the pumps.

No overheating concerns. My CPU is boosted to 4.6. I monitor temperatures using Coretemp and they stay between 50-70°C. GPU temperatures remain below the 84°C goal because I enable V-Sync during gameplay. After the problem recurs, my performance should return to normal for 5-10 minutes.

It can occur when games are stored on an SSD. A 5400rpm drive may not be fast enough for certain software.
