Despite meeting the minimum specifications, I continue to encounter crashes during certain missions in Devil May Cry 5. It’s peculiar that DMC 5 freezes on my PC while Resident Evil 2 (which has identical requirements) runs smoothly. Several other players have reported similar issues. The most frequently suggested solution—changing “targetplatform=directx12” to “targetplatform=directx11”—proved unnecessary as the game was already configured for DirectX 11 upon installation. My graphics drivers are current, and my settings are adjusted to medium, a lower setting than the default high configuration that I modified, along with disabling versusync and utilizing borderless windowed mode. Despite these adjustments, the game still sporadically crashes. However, most of these incidents occur during Missions 9, 10, and 15, rarely in Mission 3 and almost never in Mission 11. The remaining missions operate without problems. These crashes typically arise after extended play sessions—around four hours—when I attempt Missions 9, 10, or 15. Repeated crashes occur, forcing me to continually resume from the last checkpoint, which is frustrating. Occasionally, if I launch the game immediately upon booting my computer, it won't crash, though this happens only once or twice compared to four or more instances after prolonged play. I’ve completed the game twice already, but these persistent crashes are irritating during subsequent playthroughs.

Specifications:
CPU: Core i5 4440 @ 3.10 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 with 4GB VRAM
RAM: 8GB
OS Windows 8.1
DirectX 11
Storage: Toshiba HDD

Okay sounds good. Regarding the specific driver, which one are you referring to? Is this concerning a graphics card? If so, that has been updated.
