I've been dealing with this problem for several months. While playing games, the PC would crash suddenly—no BSOD, just freezes and restarts. The local repair shop suggested it might be a memory controller issue and charged me $85 for diagnosis. I swapped out two different motherboards: the original Ryzen 9 7950X, a new Ryzen 7 7800X3D, three RAM kits, and even a fresh power supply. Every setup still had the same problem. I updated the MMO BIOS and did a clean Windows install. Since I'm not very experienced with diagnostics, any advice would be super helpful. CPU: R7 7800X3D or R9 950x RAM: 64GB Trident Z5 6000 (2x32) Mobo: ASUS Rog Strix X670e-A or Aorus B650M Elite Ax GPU: RTX 3080 FE PSU: Corsair RM1000x

It doesn’t appear a replacement GPU is available. It seems the existing one is beyond its limits and activating the power supply safeguards. The issue resembles what happened with my 1080Ti, where a defective voltage module caused multiple PSUs to trip, even though they were functioning properly at the time.

Yes, you can run tests without changing the GPU configuration.

It's challenging. My background was limited to just one match, no stress tests or additional games. Ark was the only case that strained my GPU to the point the PSU cut out. I’d suggest try to note exactly when shutdowns happen if possible. Pinpointing the game or usage helps. Regarding the warranty for the 3080 FE, I’m not sure what Nvidia offers on cards, but my 1080 Ti had a three-year deal with Gigabyte and it worked fine without issues.

I've placed an order for a new GPU. I'll see what happens on Saturday to determine if it resolves the issue.

Absolutely, it was always on the GPU. Appreciate the help. I don’t know why the store thought it was a memory problem—felt like they were chasing me without reason.

They seemed unsure about the problem and didn’t feel like spending time solving it. Good that it’s resolving. Have you replaced the GPU or simply got a new one?

it came with a 3080fe I bought secondhand roughly six months prior, and I don’t believe it’s covered under the warranty. I just used it as a reason to switch to a 4090.
