Game crashes unexpectedly. Need assistance.
Initial PC specifications included Windows 11 22H2, Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE BIOS F15d, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, AMD Radeon 5700XT Adrenalin 22.11.1 with 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 at 3600mhz, Corsair Gen.4 MP600 500GB NVMe, and Thermaltake TR2 S 600W. The system wasn't overclocked. A crash occurred a few months ago, though I can't recall the exact date. Initially, I verified the power supply, GPU, and CPU. During a 30-minute stress test with geeks3d Furmark 1.32, the power draw exceeded 450 watts, but performance remained stable with temperatures between 75-76.8°C for the CPU and 76-77°C for the GPU. I changed the storage, reinstalled drivers using the AMD removal tool, and fresh installed Windows 11. However, I still experience freezes in DirectX games, especially when chatting on Discord. No clear solution yet.
I'd replace the RAM and reposition it. Should that fail, I'd remove the GPU, use a clean pink eraser to clean the contacts, clear out the slot, and reinstall it, making sure all PCIe power cables are fully connected. If none of these steps work, it's time to systematically test each component for the issue.
I handled it. I believe it's Windows 11 since it restarts unexpectedly when I power it on and it's not in use.
