WIN 10 HOME 64-bit (Auto updates complete)
COUGAR PANZER EVO RGB CASE
GIGABYTE AORUS MASTER Z390 MOTHERBOARD (F10 BIOS)
INTEL CORE I7-9700K CPU (STANDARD VOLTAGES NO OC)
32GB 3200MHZ GSKILL TRIDENT Z DDR4 RAM
CORSAIR RM850X PSUPPLY
EVGA GEFORCE GTX TITAN (DRIVER 441.08 latest)
2x Asus VG248 Monitors connected via DVI-I and DVI-D to the Titan
I initially attempted to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, experiencing crashes every 1-2 multiplayer games with DEV ERROR 6068 or 6070. I then tried Apex Legends and encountered crashes mid-game or at the end of matches, frequently during post-game screens awaiting the next match. Overwatch ran without issues initially, but eventually crashed during a post-game XP screen, closing the application and returning me to the desktop. Errors in Apex include D3D device hung. It appears to be a DirectX issue. The video card functioned correctly in an older system, suggesting a software problem related to the new configuration or overlooked setup elements. I have disabled NVIDIA overlay and ICUE. Driver installation was completed from the Gigabyte website, though APP CENTER was not installed. I have updated .NET Framework, Windows, and Visual C++ Redistributables. I am seeking advice from others who may have experienced similar problems, hoping to identify a solution.

I have attempted one monitor and continued to experience the same problems. Yesterday, after modifying only the NVIDIA control panel settings to “Let the 3D application decide” for image settings, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare functioned properly for over an hour and I exited the game as usual. Subsequently, I played Ark for several hours before a hard crash occurred. Later that evening, while simply browsing with Firefox and not using any other applications, my computer suffered a hard crash—an extremely unusual event. Today, I examined my GPU (GTX TITAN) and observed idle temperatures of approximately 65°C, which is elevated but I cannot determine what caused this change.

I am perplexed by these issues and struggling to locate a resolution. Although numerous individuals report similar problems, no solutions are available. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Experiencing driver crashes on a new PC build. The only component carried over from a previous system was the GTX Titan graphics card, which functioned without issue. System hangs for 30 seconds to one minute and typically recovers afterward. This predominantly occurs during gaming, though sometimes upon exiting a game.

Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be located. This indicates either the component generating the event is not installed or its installation is corrupted. Installing or repairing the component may resolve this issue. If the event originated on a different computer, display information was likely saved alongside the event.

Event data:
\Device\Video3
0c83(1870) 00000000 00000000
The message resource exists, but the corresponding message is not present in the message table.

System specifications:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Master (F10 BIOS)
CPU: Intel i7 9700K
RAM: G.skill Trident Z RGB (2x16GB) 3200MHz
PSU: Corsair RM850x
Case: Cougar Panzer EVO RGB
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX Titan

I am attempting to troubleshoot this issue, which involves a new Windows installation and installation of all motherboard drivers from the Gigabyte website. Removing a secondary monitor did not alleviate the problem. Despite reinstalling Windows and updating drivers, crashes persist. I suspect an NVIDIA driver issue, though a solution remains elusive due to the card's successful operation on a prior system. The problem is complex and difficult to diagnose, rendering this expensive build largely unusable at present. Seeking any potential suggestions or troubleshooting advice.

Hello, utilize Device Driver Update (DDU) then install the standard driver (not DCH).

Is this truly straightforward? Windows 10 utilizes DCH drivers for my card, and now I’m unable to overwrite them. The driver downloaded from nvidia.com, even if WHQL certified, is it a standard driver?

Overwatch is reporting that its rendering device has been lost. The event viewer indicates a display driver (nvlddmkm) stopped responding and recovered successfully.

A new build has triggered this error repeatedly. This is extremely frustrating and I’m considering returning components and testing alternatives.

Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm is not found, indicating either the component is missing or the installation is corrupted. Attempting to install or repair the component may resolve the issue.

If this event originated on another computer, display information was associated with it.

The following data is included with the event:
\Device\Video3
0c83(1870) 00000000 00000000

I contacted NVIDIA support regarding an issue with my GTX Titan (purchased from EVGA in 2013). They provided two troubleshooting steps:

1) Within the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings and manually set the program mode (for games) to Prefer Maximum Performance. Testing is in progress.

*EDIT: This step did not resolve the issue. Moving to step 2.*

2) Using Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and create a new 32-bit DWORD named TdrDelay. Double-click the newly created key and set its value to A (hexadecimal) or 10 (decimal). I am currently testing option 1 and will update with the results. Thank you for your assistance.
