Hello. After playing Witcher 3 for roughly 10 to 15 minutes, the game freezes. Pressing any keyboard keys triggers menu pop-ups and character movement, but the screen remains stuck. You have a 4790K overclocked to 4.7 stable, 16GB 2133 RAM, a 980Ti processor, and only Fraps running at the time. What might be causing this issue?

Did you boost your GPU speed? Which driver are you running? Consider trying 362.xx or 361.xx, like 361.91 as an example.

Try experimenting with stock clocks to observe any crashes.

also based on what i found at http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/article...r-released your driver might be a bit outdated for witcher 3, consider updating it to 361.91 instead of the newest version and avoid using the latest drivers

The issues lie with the newest versions of the drivers.

many problems have popped up, including artifacts, stuttering, sli issues, 144hz and fps problems. the worst case I've heard about is a complete system failure, but that seems a bit over the top and I haven't seen anything like it before.

I can't tell you to search it because it violates the policy... but you could type 361.91 into Google and check the link at the provided URL. Just confirm it matches your operating system.
