I start Genshin Impact from the launcher, watch it load, and then fully enter the open world. After a few minutes of gameplay or simply being in the game, it crashes abruptly, vanishing me back to the launcher. I've tried several solutions but none resolved the issue.

1. Attempt to turn off EXPO 2. Review Event Viewer logs for GI-related issues.

I attempted to turn off EXPO to XMP, yet the game continues to crash. In Event Viewer there’s no useful information about GI.

The error indicates a problem with the Genshin Impact log file format, specifically a type error during parsing.

I also discovered these; my parents installed Sophos on my PC. Maybe these are leading to the crashes?

GI began crashing after the game detected an anticheat feature, which likely triggered the anticheat to stop functioning and consequently end the game. Regarding other games, there are no similar crashes reported.

GI began experiencing issues about two days ago. This isn’t a typical crash in other games. Attempting to remove Sophos is met with obstacles—I don’t have a Sophos Central account and lack the required admin credentials for protection. I’m unsure how to resolve this situation.

Absolutely, it looks like the main challenge is stopping the anticheat feature. The best approach now is to contact the Sophos installers, inform them about the current GI status, and request they include GI in the exception list.
