Game Corruption
You're experiencing issues with stretching and crashes when using certain resolutions in Dark Souls and Sekiro. The fixes you tried—Wsgf for Sekiro and Flawless Widescreen for DS2—didn't resolve the problem. The games still crash or display black bars at specific resolutions, even after reinstalling or cleaning files. It might be worth checking if there are other system-level settings or drivers affecting performance, or considering alternative solutions like adjusting in-game scaling options or using a different resolution profile.
He will receive black borders because videos are designed for 16:9 format. This means platforms like YouTube, Netflix, and others use them to ensure compatibility. Black borders become standard since there aren’t many video formats that support wider aspect ratios. You’re also stuck playing at native resolution or higher, which forces the black borders. If this isn’t clear, a DDU might be necessary.
These clips show my issues with trying to get 21:9 support for Sekiro and Dark Souls 2 SOTFS. I used WSGF for Sekiro and Flawless widescreen for Dark Souls 2. I've tried reinstalling both titles, checking file integrity, but it doesn't help. Activision isn't helping, and I've already spent over two hours on each game. Bandai Namco has also handled it. My goal is just to play the games in 21:9.
