I often admit I play Minecraft, but it’s been taking a big chunk—23 to 44 percent—of my CPU power. Turning off the window and checking Task Manager brings it back down to about 2 percent. I’m using an XPS 15 with a GTX 1050, 7700HQ, 16GB RAM, and a 4K screen.

It doesn’t appear to be a problem. It’s unlikely you require more than the remaining 56-77% during Minecraft play. The game isn’t highly optimized.

Not too many options. Frames drop to five when using a GTX 1050, which is typically around 140.

Check if VSync is active on your system. A 1050 should not be sending many frames to a 4K screen, just to confirm it’s functioning correctly.

Usually supports 4K resolution. I think VSync isn't enabled, but it doesn't appear in the OptiFine settings.

Your performance metrics look stable. The system handles the workload well, with consistent frame rates and minimal CPU strain even at higher resolutions.

frames appear at roughly 5 to 10 frames per second. Very uncommon

During a brief pause in the minimized window, the frame rate appears typical.
