Looking for a light antivirus option after updating to Windows 10? I've got some suggestions—something simple like Avast Free or Malwarebytes that doesn’t slow things down.

I've relied on Windows Defender for more than a year without significant issues. I sometimes use adwcleaner or Malwarebytes to perform scans and then remove MBAM afterward (adwcleaner doesn’t disrupt much). Usually nothing serious comes up, and when it does, it’s not critical.

I rely on Avast, MB and basic common sense for everything you need.

What’s included works well. After Windows 7, I moved away from third-party antivirus since Windows 8 performed adequately. MB and adwCleaner plus HitmanPro remain useful for maintenance.

Sure, it sounds like you're feeling a bit uncertain about your current situation.

I perform trend micro house calls when I think there might be malware. It's helpful since it doesn't actually get infected.

Running avg and cleaner together on Windows 7 gives consistent results, even after upgrading to Windows 10. The setup remains effective.
