Click with the right mouse button, navigate to properties, adjust the file type association to Windows Picture Viewer or similar, and retry.

Did you turn off a feature? Are all your drivers activated? (Check Device Manager) Would you like to use Windows Photo Gallery instead: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windo...essentials (During setup, select custom and remove all programs next to Photo Gallery and Movie Maker—they’re grouped together)
