Good evening everyone, I'm trying to assist my friend with installing Windows 10 Fresh onto a new hard drive. We downloaded the OS from a USB flash drive using the Windows install website link. When we pressed F12 for the boot menu, Scandisk wasn't listed. The BIOS showed only USB-HDD, USB-CDROM, USB-ZIP, USB FDD ZIP, CDROM HARD DISC LS120, LEGACY LAN, and I even tried different USB ports on his motherboard. Selecting USB-HDD didn't boot the flash drive. Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.

Yes, I ran the executable or placed it on the USB drive.

I completed the Windows 10 download and chose the USB drive to install it on the USB Scandisk device.

It might require reinserting it into the USB port, or you could need to refresh the laptop's BIOS settings.

I looked at the website details and they match what I attempted. I installed Rufus on a flash drive, booted it from Disc Boot, and scanned the disc—result was present.
