I own a Rev 5 GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard. The manual doesn’t mention GPT partitioning or UEFI. My RX 550 4GB graphics card is connected, but I’m unsure how to get it working with this board. There’s a discussion on Tom’s Hardware about the same issue, and they suggest updating BIOS or resetting CMOS. However, my system info shows the BIOS is up-to-date, and installing the card via XFX gives a black screen despite the fan spinning and the display showing correctly when HDMI is swapped.

Hi @Loveandpower Your question isn’t quite clear. Is the GPU not visible on your system? That’s likely unrelated to GPT. GPT is a partition file for hard drives, while UEFI can function as boot mode or a newer BIOS version. Integrated graphics usually need to be turned off in BIOS settings—either dedicated GPU or integrated—depending on your choice.

Confirm boot isn't using legacy settings and UEFI is active. Make sure the iGPU isn't enabled in BIOS.

I believe my BIOS doesn't offer a way to switch from legacy settings. You can find more details in the manual here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-...er-chipset

In the BIOS setup, you should locate details to recognize the system. The BIOS isn't always produced by the motherboard manufacturer. When you look up the BIOS name, you'll find guidance on enabling or disabling Legacy mode. Each BIOS typically includes this feature. If legacy functionality isn't available, it may appear grayed out and indicate that.

Configure the initial display settings by choosing PEG at the bottom of the screenshot advanced bios features. Set the PCI graphics to the PCI slot configuration. Ensure the iGPU is assigned to OnChip VGA on the CPU. Designate PEG as the PCIEx16 port. Based on my understanding, your board supports legacy features and operates as a UEFI system.

The issue has been fixed. If you're interested, the RX 550 uses a hybrid BIOS. Initially, I needed to connect via DVI instead of HDMI for display output, but after updating the drivers, it worked perfectly with HDMI.

I'm experiencing issues with the same board while using an RX 560. Sometimes it fails to POS and enter the system, other times it never boots at all. The motherboard displays memory information like a smart HDD but doesn't show the chipset list. It restarts immediately and repeats the cycle.

Another point I want to mention is that my Rx 560 model lacks a DVI output and only supports HDMI.
