You're managing your budget carefully and still aiming for a great gaming experience. With around $500 in Christmas, you could focus on upgrading your PSU and maybe some essentials for Fallout 4. Let's plan a build that fits your needs!

In fact, you should be okay. I found a video showing someone playing Fallout 4 on an A10 7700K at low-medium settings. If you haven’t purchased your components yet, consider getting a 6300 instead of a G3258 for new titles, since I’m not certain if Fallout 4 supports dual cores...

The combination of GPU and CPU can yield a performance of 370 or 380 when using an i3 processor.

Do you already own a Pentium and a 750 Ti, or are you considering getting them? In any case, I’d suggest avoiding a dual-core processor since most recent games perform poorly on it.

You already have them, but you're thinking about upgrading—what should you choose?

Slightly above the threshold. It should beat a console when used with an i3. Around 45 frames per second with medium to high settings. Adding more RAM would help, and switching to an i3 would improve graphics more than a console would.
