Did you reach out to Steam Origin? I resolved a problem with a game I purchased on G2A, and they helped—knowing I bought it there. Could be worth trying if you haven’t done so yet.

I found isthereanydeal.com to be a good place to find deals. However they don't actually sell games and some of their 'advertised' prices are in foreign currencies. They also have a chrome and opera extension and can notify you of price drops through email.

They use a shield because the items are sold through intermediaries, making it hard to confirm each product beforehand. It’s not like the business is actively checking for shield usage and intentionally misleading customers.

Here are some alternative ways to phrase your message:

- Other reliable options include Steam, Origin, GoG, Greenmangaming, Amazon’s official store, and Gamestop.
- Another suggestion is Kinguin, which I’ve purchased from G2A several times before. Some versions include a shield, and I haven’t encountered any issues so far.
- It seems you’re unsure about what G2A actually is. If it were similar to Steam, Origin, or GMG, it wouldn’t be the case. Since it’s a marketplace of individual sellers, it makes sense they could be targeted by scammers.
- Ebay, Craigslist, and Amazon aren’t inherently less trustworthy—they just have different risks. People can cause problems regardless of the platform.
- I think it would be better if more seller communities offered a protection shield at a reasonable price.
