I have been attempting to overclock my 8350 for two days, managing only about four minutes per attempt and accumulating roughly five hours of effort. The results clearly show the number of attempts I made. I adjusted various settings, ranging from modifying the multiplier in stock configurations to manually tweaking every parameter, testing speeds from 4.3 to 4.8 GHz. Despite these efforts, the stress test consistently failed after just a few seconds. I also looked at other users' experiences with the same board, but still didn’t find success. It seems the chip might be fundamentally unsuitable for such tasks, or perhaps there’s something missing in my approach.

Don't attempt a large jump or copy others' results. Learn the proper techniques by reading carefully and practicing gradually.

as I mentioned, attempted all options, didn't just use a 5.0 Ghz setting from someone and copied, so I went through the small steps, but it still can't manage it.

No, it's just a little more than sufficient for stock speeds!

get a better cooler first, i recommend an NH-D15 or NH-D15s for the fx 8350. amazon has them from 79.99 to 89.99 usd. i own the NH-D15s and now that it's settled, i have it stable at 4.4ghz. at 33c idle room it's around 80f.

Guys you're correct, the overheating issue was resolved by installing an NH-D15. Now it's running smoothly at 4.8Ghz stable between 55-58°C under full load, and about 33-35°C when idle. Thanks!

happy to assist with the cooler, i plan to get another one soon. i was concerned the 140mm fan on the NH-D15 might not handle my RAM well, so i’ll purchase a 120mm for the exhaust in a pull setup.
