It would be frustrating to invest $1200 in any FX setup. It seems you're implying the FX8320 is superior to other choices, which I find hard to accept.

I just came across this, remember I mentioned I use an i7-7700 with a 1060 and can play Witcher 3 all day without it exceeding 60°C? It has an Evo 212 and is running at 2400Mhz on an Asus Prime board. That’s about it—seems you’re at the limit, but others are pushing it to 70-80°C!

SMH. I have an FX 8320 with a GTX 960 4GB, and I'm noticing slower FPS in newer games. I don't feel the need to upgrade yet, but I won't buy a new FX CPU just yet. The only positive thing is that they're now really affordable.
