fx 6350 overclocking questions
It looks quite stable. Keep in mind that VRMs (those small components under a heatsink close to the CPU) aren’t cooled by AIOs like fans are, so they tend to get hotter and you might want to check them occasionally.
The initial phase of overclocking often involves testing how far your processor can run without increasing voltage, as seen on my old FX-6300 where I reached 3.9 from 3.5.
After that point, usually you don’t need me to remind you to slightly increase the voltage and then adjust the multiplier.
Typically, between 4.5 GHz and 4.8 GHz there’s a voltage ceiling where you’ll need to push the settings much higher for only a small gain. You should probably stop there—it adds unnecessary stress to the CPU.
Ensure your temperatures stay below 65°C on the CPU, and avoid going above 70°C as it enters a throttling or unsafe range.
If you want me to check, send me a screenshot of your temps, voltage, and frequency.
I wouldn't expect to push a chip further than 4.5 for daily use.
Sorry for missing the long day, how do I take a screenshot here?
I understand, I have my cpuz data but I'm unsure about posting it here.
