Fx 6300 @m5a97le2.0 @4ghz
Fx 6300 @m5a97le2.0 @4ghz
My rig includes: Fx 6300@4ghz, M5a97le2.0, 8gb ram, Powercolour rx 480 red dragon single fan, Antec vp450.
I’m at 4ghz with default voltage and temperature. The first hour of prime testing was 1hr, and gaming lasted 2 hours with temperatures between 48-50°C. I don’t want to overheat it further.
I’m considering adding VRAM heatsinks since the chips don’t have any. Would this affect my motherboard?
Thank you for your help!
It's feasible, yet the advantages for the 0.1 gHz OC won't significantly impact anything.
You can change the settings if you think it will assist, though a 0.1 gHz adjustment won't make much difference. If you increase it more than necessary, you might notice slight improvements, but I usually don't change settings unless I really need to. I mostly just lower the game's settings to achieve better performance, which is my usual approach.
