i tried adjusting my fx 6300(black edition) from 3.8 to 4.1...i just want to be sure, but i think it's normal. the thing that worries me is that when it drops from 4.1 to 1.5 and stays there for a while before returning to 4.1...can i do something about it or is it okay? (ty in advance)

Watch the system during stress tests using CPU-Z, Prime95, Aida64, Cinebench or any comparable tool. It could just be idle operation. Also, the FX-6300 reduces performance at 70.5c. Monitor it with AMD Overdrive. Remember that AMD Overdrive indicates thermal margin (difference from maximum temperature), and a higher value is preferable.

Which motherboard is being asked about? What is the CPU temperature at that specific moment?

Watch the performance while running stress tests with CPU-Z, Prime95, Aida64, Cinebench or any other comparable tool. It could just be basic idle operation. Also, the FX-6300 reduces speed at 70.5c. Monitor it using AMD Overdrive. Just note that AMD Overdrive indicates thermal margin (difference from maximum temperature), and a higher value is preferable.
