Hey everyone, I’m really confused about what happened with my computer. It seemed normal until the game froze and only displayed red and blue sections for a brief moment before shutting down completely. When I tried to restart, it would spin at full speed for three seconds, then just stayed on without showing anything, powering off again. After replacing the RAM and GPU, everything worked fine until my keyboard cut power after about two seconds. Even though I checked the PSU with a paper clip and it was good, the system just froze. I’ve had all the specs listed—Windows 11, Ryzen 5, Aorus GPU, decent RAM, SSD, and even tried different cables. I also disassembled and reassembled everything, but nothing changed. It’s frustrating because I thought fixing these parts would fix it. Thanks for your help!

There’s a technique to check if a motherboard is unresponsive. It mirrors the paper clip test but connects the 24-pin directly to the board. Jump-start the machine and connect everything as you normally would, but instead of bridging the case button or pressing the power switch, insert the paper clip into the same pins. From the back of the connector it works just like before. If the board isn’t fully off, this should provide power to get it running. After placing the clip, press the motherboard’s power button. If the board still doesn’t respond, it may attempt to boot. This method has been used during repairs and hasn’t caused failures in my experience, though risks remain.
