So I’m an original graphics card (Radeon HD 6970) testing my performance with Uningine Heaven, and I had a general idea of what I could achieve from my last use. Almost reached around 46.7 FPS on the benchmark. After some minor adjustments, I managed up to 47.5 FPS, then 47.7. I hadn’t changed the memory clock settings yet. Then I increased the memory clock by 100MHz, which should have improved the benchmark results. The final numbers were 47.4 and a slightly lower score. I increased the voltage slightly and gave the memory clock a strong boost. After the benchmark, I was frustrated because my results weren’t improving—they were actually getting worse. So I made several changes: raised the voltage a bit, maximized power efficiency, adjusted the memory clock, and ensured the fan ran very cold. Benchmark FPS came down to 46.6. My temperatures rose from an average of 65°C to about 69°C, possibly reaching 70°C a few times. But I’m not sure what’s causing this. The temps are still high, it’s not throttling for temperature, maybe it needs a reset. After rebooting, the stock voltage was 1.175V and now it’s 1.269V. The power limit increased by 50%, the core clock went from 880 MHz to 960 MHz, and the memory clock rose from 1375MHz to 1401 MHz. Those numbers seem normal. FPS dropped to 44.9 when I pushed the settings further. It looks like higher voltages or memory clock changes are affecting performance. Maybe there’s something else I’m missing? This is confusing—I need to figure out what’s really going on.
