I haven’t yet mastered a flawless FPS. Each game has its strengths, but none have truly captivated me. Perhaps if developers increased Halo’s speed, added more hand-to-hand combat and evasion skills for Master Chief, and provided each player with a great weapon at spawn in every online mode, we could achieve something close to perfection.
Single player: Serious Sam (SS2 offers some parody but is packed with fun) Shadow Warrior The Talos Principle isn’t a shooter yet—it’s an impressive first-person puzzle game. I preferred it over Portal. Wolfenstein The New Order Dishonored Bioshock Infinite Edit: I highly recommend Serious Sam. It also has great COOP and is quite tough. Avoid starting with SS3 unless you want a less enjoyable experience.
