Hi, I noticed that running certain games such as Minecraft and Hacknet on my PC can cause the other monitor to turn black and flash, along with a laggy performance and audio issues. It’s unclear whether this is due to high resource usage or something else. I’m looking for possible solutions to help identify the cause.

Check if the same resolution is being applied and if in-game matches the desktop setting.

I can picture it, if I attempt to switch on Minecraft in fullscreen mode, I think it should simply adapt to the native settings.

It really depends on the resolution you've chosen. On the first start, it should match the desktop setup, though this can change. Issues like glitches and black screens often happen when the OS tries to adjust resolutions. Running a borderless windowed mode can provide a quick solution. Drivers might also help resolve the problem.

Unfortunately, only a few games offer borderless windows, which I already prefer since it makes switching between monitors simpler. I think I'll just play games without borderless windows in windowed mode instead.
