I just got the XB271HU Acer Predator monitor – IPS, 144Hz, gsync, 1440p. I’m curious about the best screen mode for gaming. I usually use Windows Borderless, but I’ve read that input lag can be higher in that setting. Since I play competitive games like CSGO at a high level, I’m worried about responsiveness. Should I stick with Borderless or switch to fullscreen? Thanks!

You can enjoy light games and check for input lag. I use Windows Borderless with all games, consistently achieving high FPS. Input lag is absent in every title. It's safe, but testing still offers peace of mind!

The fullscreen mode consistently delivers higher FPS compared to other settings. This likely means reduced input lag, making the difference noticeable even at those high frame rates.

I’m confident there’s no input delay for me—tested across different games like Overwatch, Mass Effect, and CSGO. I don’t notice any lag, even with high-refresh-rate displays. Playing on 3 144Hz monitors only makes me more selective about performance.
