They have a specific BIOS option for activating firmware TPM (FRPM). I set it up and my system successfully cleared certification for Windows 11. There should be benefits or improvements, otherwise adding this feature would seem unnecessary.
Firmware TPM refers to an integrated CPU TPM. The dedicated TPM is advantageous since you can relocate it (using Windows' OTC installation) or have only one active at a time.
Having a specific TPM module seems to be the best approach. I've been looking, but they're really hard to locate and I won't accept inflated prices. I just placed an order for about $11 from BLT, which is still on backorder until late August.
