Frustration with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor gameplay
About an hour ago, I purchased Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor at a discount from Bundle Stars because it was on sale. It seemed great at first. I’ve been eager to own a copy for myself on PC. After completing the Steam setup and loading everything, I opened the Options menu as any gamer would. Reviewing all settings, I noticed no toggle for stealth or crouching. How could the developers overlook this? Most PC titles include a crouch option, and adjusting aim is less common, but it’s essential for my playstyle. The absence of this feature makes the game nearly unplayable for me. My mobility is limited, so I almost felt better buying it directly from Steam even at the regular price. Since I bought it through a third-party site, I can’t claim the $15 refund. I wish Valve offered a key deactivation option, so more people could try it.

I think a little autohotkey might fix this problem. I also don’t like having to hold a key for something that can be easily changed—it’s frustrating. Once you get the hang of autohotkey, it’ll really help, especially as things progress.
It was built with a console-style controller in mind. The design appears optimized for that platform rather than a modern setup.
