Purchased an MSI z390-A Pro board from a Newegg Canada seller. The package arrived promptly, but upon checking, I noticed another shipping label addressed to someone else. They simply applied my details over a new label on a sealed box that had been returned. When I opened the box with my Kabar 1189 lock blade, I found the plastic CPU pin protector on top of the I/O plate and some paperwork. I suspected the CPU pins might be bent or damaged, possibly from being misaligned. I decided not to try fixing it myself. I contacted Newegg Customer Service, who issued a refund after I provided photos. Unfortunately, no replacement was possible. I then ordered an ASUS Prime Z390-A instead. I’m considering this a safer bet. The board is expected to arrive in mid-June from China. I also have a 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 2666 MHz coming soon, planned for a gradual upgrade. The remaining components I own are from the Computer Mall seller on Newegg Canada, which I don’t trust. Updated May 31, 2023 by BlackDragon1971
