She had her sister's computer fail recently while playing light games. After the game ended, the speakers began buzzing, the PC locked up, and froze. She kept pressing the power button, but when she tried to restart it, nothing happened—just a slow delay before any action. The PSU fan started increasing rapidly, almost like an airplane engine, and she turned it off halfway through.

Here are the computer specifications you requested. A video showing the startup process and LED indicators is available upon request. Regarding your previous work, I noticed a potential PSU concern that we should investigate further.

It isn't my computer, so she didn't want me to begin fixing it. It's an HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF with 8 GB RAM, an i5 2400, and a GT730. It comes with the original power supply.

Considering its age, I'm sure it's a PSU problem, though I think it's best to admit it upfront rather than risking further issues.

It's time to update your PSU, aren't you in agreement?

We really don’t understand if it’s the PSU fan increasing or if the CPU or case fan is the main cause. In this situation, a memory training failure would most likely trigger the CPU or case fan to speed up first. I haven’t confirmed that yet. You’re jumping to conclusions without fully analyzing the problem. I’ve mentioned it twice already.

It's included in the case design. I own another identical PC, but it's currently nonfunctional.

Check the exact PSU model for durability. Get the precise part number.

I’m trying to make sure you get what I mean. You think others should be encouraged to invest in things that might not work or are faulty. That sounds like poor guidance.
