Front panel power switch connection is triggering the CPU and DRAM LEDs in a repeated pattern
It seems unusual. I'll need to examine the lian-li manual for a detailed wire layout in that fpanel cable. I should go over my tasks later and see if I can gather more information. There might be a problem with one of the switches or faulty components sometimes.
Edit: In the meantime, I'll try again—results would help. They suggest not breaking apart the header, just using a metal screwdriver to gently tap the power pins to activate it.
Lian-Li's guide explains the components in the power switch section: the main power switch with two pins on the upper right, the power indicator light with two pins on the upper left, and the reset switch with two pins at the lower end. All parts appear correctly positioned.
I located a front panel breakout cable in my old computer. Connected it to my present front panel and connected just the 2-pin power switch. Suddenly, the PC started working. It seems one of the other pins on the motherboard or connector might still be broken, but now it boots when I press the power button!
