I was engaged in a game and viewing a video, then powered down my PC. It stayed connected to a reliable outlet, all power cables were secured, and the power switch functioned properly. No alarms or error signals appeared. The only indication of activity was flipping the PSU on and off before attempting to boot. Since I’m short on time, any testing you could suggest would be really helpful. My main concern right now is that the PSU might have failed recently.

It seems the power supply is definitely struggling. It probably provided just enough energy to stay asleep, but not enough to activate it fully. Once it was turned off, that’s about it. The bad capacitors are likely the cause.

It occurs sometimes. You could still be fortunate. Since it appears to have stopped working in sleep mode, it might not have caused any harm. @OrangeSunshine By the way, don't cut corners. If you replace the power supply, also change the connecting cables. Certain PSUs use different pin configurations and using another PSU's cables may harm the motherboard. GPU, RAM, and CPU have been verified on a different machine and are functioning properly.
