I'm writing this thread in your friend's place, who's struggling with his new setup while playing Hunt:Showdown (and possibly other games).
He's using a Ryzen 5 2600X with a 2060 Super and 2x8GB of DDR4 RAM.
His system runs on a weak R9 380X, which is about 150% less powerful than the 2060, yet his FPS isn't drastically affected at medium settings.
He's updated all drivers and set everything to top performance for the software, which helped a bit.
I've asked him to use a benchmark overlay, which indicates his CPU and GPU usage is only around 45%, not the high levels seen in the YouTube results.
The game runs on an SSD, and the video link is provided.
This setup (non-super 2060 with a small overclock) gives much better FPS and 98% GPU usage compared to what's shown.
What might be causing this difference?
So far, I've been able to bring his average usage down to around 60% - by adjusting his settings to ultra and tweaking a few power options, though it's not quite there yet.
