Hello everyone, I’ve been working with PC builds for a while now, but this one’s been giving me trouble. Lights are on, yet no one is home. I’m starting by reviewing my previous setup, which served as a testing ground for troubleshooting parts. My old system consisted of an Intel i7-9700K, a Gigabyte 1080Ti motherboard, two 8GB DDR4 modules from Corsair Vengeance at 3200MHz, and an Asus Z370A Prime MB. I’m planning to upgrade to something new and want your input on what might be causing the POST issue. The new build is listed here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rnfLcb - Intel i7-12700K, Gigabyte 3080Ti, two 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance modules at 3200MHz, and a Gigabyte B660i MB. I’ve assembled many machines before, but this one isn’t booting. At first I suspected the RAM—my new module claims it’s optimized for AMD—but when I connected it to my 9700K (which supports DDR4 at that speed), it still didn’t work. After verifying with my own hardware and even examining the motherboard pins under a microscope, everything looked fine. My old system ran the same RAM and worked perfectly. Should I swap out the RAM, or is there another part I should replace? Or perhaps the motherboard, CPU, and RAM need to be returned? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I purchased the advertised new motherboard from Amazon, but it didn’t include chipset specifications. It needs a chip featuring built-in graphics. For example, my 12700KF won’t work because it lacks them. I think this is the problem and I’ll replace it with a different one. I’ll keep you updated. The link demonstrates that my motherboard’s specs only list chips with integrated graphics.
