My system specifications are as follows: a Ryzen 5 2600x processor, an Asus B450 ROG Strix Gaming E motherboard, 16GB of Corsair RGB Pro memory at 3200MHz speeds, a 250GB Team Delta solid-state drive, and a 320 GB hard disk drive. I'm seeking assistance because after assembling my initial desktop computer, it fails to identify any display outputs (VGA or HDMI). A white LED light on the motherboard indicates a VGA issue. I initially attempted to connect my monitor directly to the motherboard, but it's not working. I’m unsure how to proceed and would appreciate any guidance you can offer.

The 2600X lacks integrated visuals, necessitating the purchase of a separate graphics card. The 1660 Ti is currently considered an excellent value proposition, typically costing between $280 and $310 in its EVGA version—my personal preference.

Should a 2600 series processor not be installed on an X-series motherboard?

It won’t be needed on a B450 motherboard. Regarding the original poster's issue, as previously stated, a standalone graphics card is required for your system to produce an image.
