Frequent system freezes leading to automatic restarts.
Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I've been dealing with a really strange problem for months now. It's hard to predict when it happens—sometimes weekly, other times just a few times a week, or even multiple times a day. It usually happens during a specific game session, like when I try to launch V Rising. TL;DR: whenever I attempt to play CSGO or Apex Legends, my computer freezes completely. The game stays frozen as if it's stuck in a static image. No keyboard input, no mouse response—just total silence. The only fix so far is rebooting the system, which isn't ideal since most of my games are online.
I've tried several things: reinstalling drivers with DDU, reinstalling Windows, swapping RAM slots, using Rivatuner to reduce frames, and double-checking all connections. Even basic tweaks in Windows didn’t help much. I think the issue might be related to power delivery or voltage spikes, possibly causing the system to shut down entirely. My PSU has been working fine for a couple of years, so I’m not sure it’s the problem.
My current setup is an R5 2600 with a 1060 6G graphics card and a Seasonic Focus 80 Gold+ 550W PSU. I’ve calculated my power needs carefully, aiming for around 400-430W, which seems sufficient. Still, this crash keeps happening.
Anyone have experience with similar issues? Any suggestions or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated. If you need detailed specs, just let me know. Thanks!
