I'll move to the alternate NVMe port and attempt to clone it onto a spare SSD I have. Curiously, my computer shut down right now, but everything remained operational inside the case. The RAM lights stayed on, the fans were running, yet my keyboard, mouse, and monitors failed. Inside the case, the VGA indicator light was a bright red color... That suggests the motherboard might be experiencing problems?
You're referring to VGA LED indicators—whether they're on the motherboard or the GPU. I wonder if you've tried switching the GPU to a different slot, especially the second x16 one. That could definitely cause issues. It's possible NVME is the root cause and might help you save money.
I understand you're dealing with four LED lights on your motherboard—boot, CPU, RAM, and VGA. The VGA light came on during this issue, which is unusual. I've cloned the NVMe drive to a spare SSD and removed the NVMe from the board. I'll keep you updated if anything goes wrong.
I handled the situation when the crashes began... It took a while before it crashed again, but eventually did. After moving my NVME to SSD and taking it out, it crashed once more. I noticed some clicking in my case and it restarted, so it seems I’m likely at the end of options for a faulty motherboard.
