Frequent power interruptions caused data corruption in the bios files.
I own a gigabyte B450m Ds3h (rev.1) motherboard in my PC. Because of repeated power interruptions it sustained damage—not physically—but now when I power on the system, fans and RGB lights activate but there’s no display or keyboard/mouse response. This issue has persisted for several months; I’ve tried resetting the BIOS using various methods such as shorting the CLR_CMOS pin, connecting the BIOS chip pins 1 and 6, but it still doesn’t work consistently. Occasionally it seems to fix itself, yet it often breaks again after a restart. There don’t seem to be any professionals available for repair, and the seller has refused to assist.
BIOS chips are relatively affordable. See if the motherboard’s BIOS chip is removable. Some boards have them in a compact, snug socket that can be taken out with pliers. If it’s soldered, you’ll need to acquire new skills or seek help from an electronics store or similar place.
It functions properly tomorrow, starting correctly now. Just put it to sleep and it operates well.
Great news! Excited to hear that! Just make sure it stays connected to the UPS!
