OS - Windows 10 21H2 (32-bit or x64 compatible) ? Which processor architecture? Is it an OEM version (installed by default) or a full retail purchase? Age of system: Early 2020. OS installation date: Have you reinstalled the operating system? CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8-core, 3.60 GHz. Graphics: AMD Radeon RX5600 XT, 6 GB. Board: AsusTek ROG Strix B450-F, BIOS updated to 12/8/2020 release. Power supply: EVGA 220-G3-0750-X1, Super Nova 750 G3. Laptop or desktop? Desktop confirmed.

So it’s a very fast machine, but lately I’ve noticed some VR game stuttering and frequent BSODs. Specifically, memory corruption errors (SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION) are appearing across the board—from Firefox to logging in Windows. Diagnostics suggest memory or storage issues, possibly driver-related. I ran a Windows memory check with no problems, but an SFC scan found fixes for some files. Still, BSODs persist.

Recent bug reports point to this issue: SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION (c1). Stack traces often show the culprit. I’ve checked all drivers and none are listed as updated. The memory diagnostic didn’t reveal anything new, though it did flag checksum verification for win32k.sys.

This is the latest fix attempt:
- Corrupted memory detected
- Stack trace analysis available
- No driver update identified yet
- Slowness and crashes continue despite diagnostics

If you need more clarity, consider checking BIOS updates, ensuring all drivers are current, and monitoring system logs for further clues.

Review your Task Manager to identify any processes with high resource usage in the Performance tab, and feel free to share a screenshot if you'd like further assistance.

I've observed the CPU reaching 65% during brief peaks, though it hasn't been extreme.

It's odd that everyone seems to have the latest updates?

I've looked into some major areas such as graphics, bios, and Windows updates, but I’m not sure about other missing items. I don’t have CCleaner Pro and can’t spend much money. Most driver checkers seem unreliable, so I haven’t tried them yet.

Examine each device by clicking right and verifying the update. Make sure Windows is current before proceeding, so you can confirm the updates are real.

I have a Windows update, but since I restored an earlier version, I’m still facing problems. I’ll try updating again and check the drivers.
