So... where should we start? Usually I play a game (WoW Classic now) with Discord open on another screen. It’s just normal until I try to use Discord (PTT) and the mic won’t sound. I check Discord and it freezes completely. PTT stops working, everything halts, but my game runs fine without problems or internet drops. After a while, it seems to recover and all the conversations from when it froze play back at once. Eventually, I began searching for clues and opened resource monitors, which helped me notice Windows was also unresponsive. This wasn’t just a Discord issue—it affected Windows overall, except for the game I’m playing. It’s happening outside games too. I can’t recreate the problem easily. I’ve tried standard fixes: updating drivers, rolling back, keeping monitors open. Nothing clearly points to the cause until recently. About a few days ago, I faced the same problem but it lasted longer this time and I actually got a BSOD. The error message said “Memory Controller error.” I’m not sure if this is connected or not, but I don’t fully understand how memory issues might fit here. I was always under the belief that memory problems would immediately trigger a BSOD unless ECC modules are in use. I haven’t seen anything like this before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
