My specifications:
i7 9700k 3.6 GHz 8 cores, 8 threads
NZXT Kraken x62 CPU cooler
G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8gb) dual channel mode
M.2 SSD Samsung 970 Evo (m.2 2280)
WD black HDD 2TB (WD2003FZEX)
Asus ROG STRIX RTX 2070-O8G-Gaming GDDR6
Nzxt H500
Corsair RMx white series RM750x power supply
Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero (z390)
When I'm playing the game, it just freezes or sometimes it just continues but most of the time it just freezes. Also when I am playing COD4 blackout games, my games completely freeze like Total Warhammer II. I just can't play games normally...I know for sure my rig is powerful enough for anything. What should I do?
It's so frustrating
Here is a screenshot of the Total Warhammer II issue:

And for the COD4 game it's just not responding at all, only Task Manager works...

does anything else crash or just those two? if it's every game then send an RMA for the GPU. also, on another point, i'm really upset you got the z390 asus board.

Only those two games...the game should look like this for Total Warhammer II: (check the link). And not like in my previous post... also, my HDD makes some noises, it sounds kind of grindy or scratching. Is that normal? And my COD4 freezes completely after loading. I have to open Task Manager every time to shut it down and look for a fix... but I don’t know what to do. Why are you upset about the motherboard?

because asus uses a poor VRM design on those boards. that's all. gigabyte offers much better VRMs for the price. but regarding the hard drives... i really don't understand why they're grinding and scratching.

I don't know, but it doesn't sound very loud and it doesn't last long. Do you have any ideas to fix the freezing issue? Also, could you share a screenshot of your game that shows what's wrong?

It might be related to thermals, though I'm skeptical. There seems to be no link between the hard drive noises and the freezing issue. I owned a 2080ti with the VRAM die installed, but it would crash in every game.
Could you check if there might be another bug somewhere? I'm not very comfortable with software or drivers, so it could be a problem there.
