Honestly, I don't recommend free games. You can get a strong library without spending more than a few dollars though. Classics regularly go on sale, or are available from reputable third party sellers like CDKeys.com and the sites on Isthereanydeal.com. Some inexpensive games to check out: Bioshock 1/Infinite Borderlands 2 Batman: Arkham City Tomb Raider (2013) Portal 1 or 2 Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Mass Effect Trilogy I don't know what computer you have, but if it's anything modern it should be able to run those games without sacrifices, looking and feeling much better than they ever did on consoles, and they can be found very cheap. Edit: @Extebders This applies to you as well.

There are numerous complimentary DOS titles available on GOG, so keep an eye out.

Get the Microsoft PC game pass for just $1 in your first month. There are plenty of games to enjoy there. Try the Epic Games Launcher—it often gives away lots of free stuff. I’m not sure if EA Access offers a deal for the first month, but you can download the Origin Launcher and see what’s available. It’s great that PC gaming lets you find many good titles for a low price, with plenty of options under $10.

TF2 has some good aspects. WoW offers free progression up to level 20.

War Thunder offers decent gameplay but can become repetitive quickly. For those who enjoy older DOS titles, GOG provides many free options. The Witcher 1 is available for free on GOG’s storefront, though its experience hasn’t been consistent—it’s still worth trying.

You enjoy action-packed RPGs like Diablo, and 'Path of Exile' offers a solid free alternative. Just be prepared for some initial challenges.
