Hi, I’ve been having problems with my PC for a while now. The main issue is with my VR headset, which isn’t working well. I own Reverb G2 and it includes Windows Mix Reality software, allowing me to run multiple programs at once. I thought that might be the cause of my problems. Since the game Elden Ring was released, I’ve been experiencing frequent FPS drops to zero or around 10-15 frames, even when nothing seems to be happening outside. It happens even if I’m inside a closed room and not touching the controller. I attributed it to suboptimal settings, but now I’m trying MSI Afterburner to investigate frame drops. I expected spikes in GPU or CPU usage with each drop, but instead I see a dip in GPU usage. Also, VR heavily uses GPU VRAM but claims to use about 70-80%, yet FPS issues persist. Please see the screenshot from Afterburner. My setup is an RTX 2070 i7-8700 with 16GB RAM, and one of the graphics cards failed a few weeks ago—less than two years old. I’m considering a replacement. It might cause lag or freezing if the application runs on a traditional hard drive.

Is there another approach? Or a method to check what's happening and find the slow part?
