Perhaps your hard drive is aging? Or possibly numerous applications are operating in the background!

Are you certain that all settings within the NVIDIA control panel are optimal? Specifically, has anything recently altered or deviated unexpectedly?

The fundamental observation I made was this: you're pushing your system to its limits! Maintaining a frame rate of 140 frames per second is excessive. Considering your 144Hz monitor, such high framerates are not typical. It’s reasonable to experience fluctuations due to your central processing unit; it may struggle to consistently deliver 144 frames per second.

The most effective solution if you desire this level of performance would be to upgrade your CPU – a 9900k could provide adequate support. Alternatively, reducing the target frame rate to 100 would ensure a more consistent frame rate.

The system utilizes a solid-state drive, recently installed and verified through testing against comparable drives. No modifications were made to the NVIDIA control panel. My high-performance configuration renders a 144Hz refresh rate irrelevant; even limiting the game to 60Hz would not resolve these problems.

It’s regrettable that I’ve struggled with this problem for a considerable duration, and I suspect it may persist indefinitely.

Please also consider experimenting with a 60Hz refresh rate.

1. Does this problem occur across all games? Specifically, do you experience it consistently within each game?
2. Could you describe the thermal performance of your case?
3. What is your system configuration – including your Windows model and installation date?
4. Was this issue present from the initial setup? Or did it arise subsequently?
5. Have you verified that all drivers are current?

Navigate to the Nvidia control panel. Proceed to adjust resolution options. Establish a bespoke resolution by creating one. Configure the refresh rate to 60 Hertz. Within timing settings, modify standard mode from automatic to CVT reduced blanking; subsequently, conduct a test and save the changes. Implement your tailored resolution and verify that the refresh rate displays as 60 Hz on https://www.testufo.com/refreshrate. Utilize the image adjustment tool with preview, selecting “use advanced 3d settings.” Within manage 3d settings, designate any game you play and enable vertical synchronization. Launch the game and integrate it into RTSS, defining a framerate limit of 60. This should effectively eliminate stuttering.

I’ve experienced this difficulty persistently for many years, having explored numerous solutions. Although the possibility may be remote, discussing the situation could potentially reveal underlying issues if that is something you would like to do.
