Frame rates decline following extended use.

Hello, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue that has persisted for several months.

I assembled my computer in October, and the specifications are as follows: i7 8086k - GTX 1080ti – 16GB RAM 3200MHz – 970EVO M.2 SSD. My issue is that when playing games, my frames per second initially reach very high levels – typically 90-100 with maximum graphics settings. However, after a period of time (often 3 hours or more, sometimes lasting over a day), the performance begins to decline significantly, decreasing from 90 to 60, then 40, and eventually settling on 20-30 fps. Restarting the computer is currently the only solution.

It doesn’t appear to be related to overheating, as I've utilized MSI Afterburner and observed no difference in GPU usage or temperatures between when I have high fps and when it drops to low fps. The problem consistently manifests within Black Desert Online, though it has been observed across multiple games as well.

Have you ever monitored your processor temperatures? Or, what is the workload on both your central processing unit and graphics processing unit when gaming at a frame rate of 100 frames per second, and also during gameplay at 20-30 frames per second?

My processor temperatures are stable as well, because I use a water cooling system and I’ve also taken out the previous overclock. The percentage of resource utilization appears to be unchanged. I would share a picture or a link to an image, but the internet won’t let me.
