The advantage of exceeding 60 fps on a 60Hz display is minimal, since you won't notice the extra frames.
This was a really poor idea. I installed it because you suggested it, but then I removed it since it wasn't improving performance and I tend to delete unused programs. When you told me about it, I reinstalled it and looked further: in the global settings, "Smart V-Sync" was already turned on by default. That forced V-Sync from the removed app, which limited my frame rate.
