Frame rate fluctuations occur despite having a capable computer.
This PC configuration includes an i5-8400 processor, an MSI Z370-A Pro motherboard, a 6GB Asus GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, 8GB of Hyper X Fury RAM at 2400MHz, and a 600W EVGA power supply. It also has a 1TB Western Digital hard drive. I primarily use it for gaming, particularly Grand Theft Auto V and The Division. While I don’t anticipate optimal frame rates, I frequently experience drops below 10 frames per second that persist for approximately 15 to 30 seconds. My friend has a very similar system but doesn't encounter these same problems (and plays on more demanding settings). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The issue stems from the lack of a solid-state drive; your traditional hard disk drive is inadequate for modern gaming. I advise installing this SSD and transferring all your games and operating system to it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0784SLQM6/ref...db4f8de2a5
The issue stems from the lack of an SSD; your existing HDD isn’t capable of handling modern games. I suggest acquiring this SSD and installing all of your games and operating system upon it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0784SLQM6/ref...db4f8de2a5

I do possess an SSD, yet games like Grand Theft Auto or The Division aren’t located on it. Let me try installing them then.

An SSD significantly improves PC performance and gaming experience. I concur with adam19255’s recommendation to purchase a quality SSD.
