I just set up Watch Dogs 2 on my PC. Initially it ran smoothly at around 45 to 50 frames per second, but after about 30 to 45 minutes it began dropping to 15 to 24 fps, particularly when playing while driving a car. My graphics card and processor are a Zotac GTX 1050TI with factory overclocking and an i7 4770. The case only has one fan in the back and a standard heatsink. Is your GPU throttling?

To check GPU thermal throttling, use system monitoring tools or GPU-specific software that displays temperature and performance metrics.

You can also check GPU-z and observe the "PerfCap Reason" in the Sensors section to determine if performance issues stem from underutilized GPU or VRel (video card reaching its max power delivery).

According to what I've heard, WD2 is highly optimized, so you shouldn't expect peak performance. If temperatures rise significantly and clock speeds drop by over 100 MHz, that's likely throttling. Probably not the case—1050 Tis should handle cooling well.

Follow the same approach as M.Yurizaki, run GPU-Z and check the process details. Also keep an eye on the GPU temperature.

I completed the heaven benchmark test and didn't notice any throttling.

Not a throttling situation.

Do you have the most recent optimization drivers for Watch Dogs 2? The visuals feel quite standard for the game, given its demanding GPU usage. How are your current settings?
