As I’m playing Fortnite and focusing on areas with increased detail, my frame rate decreases from over 100 to between 60 and 90 frames per second, which feels similar to a 30fps experience. Assistance would be greatly valued.

Your system should easily deliver high frame rates for that game with minimal in-game FPS fluctuations like that.

What is the make and model of your display? Does it support FreeSync or G-Sync? Is it 1080p or 1440p?

Have you experimented with adaptive V-Sync in the NVIDIA control panel? See if this adjustment improves performance.

That was genuinely useful. My display is a FreeSync monitor, specifically a ViewSonic XG2402 (1920x1080 at 144Hz).
