Recently I experience missing frames or what you might call stutters. Especially noticeable in games like osu! where every second matters. These are my system details. I also use a Samsung Evo SSD. I’ve also observed reduced FPS in League of Legends. With the settings I’m using, I used to get over 200 FPS but now it stays between 90-120 and occasionally jumps again for a moment. That level is still manageable, though I clearly feel some delay or screen tearing. What might be causing this? It began suddenly. EDIT: The biggest problem here is frame drops in osu!. Every few seconds the game appears to freeze for a tiny fraction of a second, while the audio stays normal. At the same time, a small block appears in the bottom-right corner. The game displays this to indicate lag and dropped frames. Something is definitely happening—I’m not crazy. My old 9-year-old PC had many issues, but frame drops weren’t an issue. Why does my new good PC have this problem?

What's the temperature? Are there any resource-heavy programs running in the background during this? Also, when people mention "dropping frames," they're typically referring to streaming contexts.

Operating below 50°C continuously. Background tasks typically include Discord (reduced), Steam (reduced), and Logitech software for mouse and keyboard. Turning off Discord and Steam seems to have no impact.

Include details about your AV, Windows search indexing, any update downloads, and anything that causes temporary CPU spikes leading to lag.
